We has been provided Data Erasure services, following three erase can be selected to use.

For magnetic device, such as magnetic hard disk (HDD), data tape and video tape, we will use degausser to erase Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded Hard Disk media with a coercivity of up to 5000Oe. so that the hard disk data cannot be repaired.

For SATA/M.2 SSD (solid state drive), we will use secure erase command to erase all data in the media.

For DoD 5220.22-M(E) (3-pass) method, it will overwrite the disk multiple times to clear the disk.

Hard Drive Data Erasure services (Procedure)



  1. Our staff in the collection of hard disk, the form to fill in the storage media type, quantity and serial number, on the hard disk surface affixed to the unique coding.
  2. Before the degaussing procedure, the Staff locks the hard drive in the storage cabinet.
  3. After the service is completed, our service staff will provide you with the written service certificate, the form will clearly explain the type, quantity and serial number of the storage media degaussing by this service, and provide the best corroboration data for the audit.

Note:
HD contains all kinds of 3.5-inch, 2.5-inch hard drives, SATA SSD, M.2 SSD, Notebook and PC only provide HDD degaussing service, if we need to provide demolition services for additional charges. LTO and other large tapes, we need to first destroy the external protection framework, after removing the tape.

Data Erasure

Ordinary person usually discard a bad hard drive in the computer without carefully processing the private data in the hard drive, it may cause the data to be exposed. When computers are upgraded and replaced. Companies and organizations often worry about how to handle the data stored in the old computer's hard disk. In order to avoid leaking the company's data. To completely remove the data on the hard drive, the safest and most effective way to permanently delete all data on the hard drive is using a degaussing machine.

Hard disk degauss

Magnetic degaussing principle is the degaussing produce a strong magnetic field, so that the magnetic flux on the media all converted to zero, so as to achieve the effect of permanent data deletion. According to the international standard degaussing machine strength generally need than the storage media itself more than 1.5 times or above the coercivity of the coercive magnetism can effectively destroy the data permanently. Also the track on the hard disk is converted to zero, the hard disk's head due to a strong magnetic field is destroyed. The hard drive cannot continue to use. However, the tape or disk will continue to be used after degaussing because it has no head.
